You may not know much about the adults with special needs community here in Killeen, Texas. That’s okay, neither do I, nor do most of our parents, foster parents, siblings, guardians, or students here at DaZona Life and Learning Center. Parents and family members struggle to find programs for their aging child, while students have a difficult time understanding the transition from public school. Some parents are forced to leave their child at home, while others, because of their level of needed care, cannot do so. DaZona strives to be the missing link for these family members, but we lack the connection we need within our community.
What can you do?
DaZona staff and students invite you to visit us Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm. Come and see what we have to offer our students, what you can do to help, and how we can join together to give our adults with special needs a sense of purpose.
Who are we?
DaZona exists to serve the adults with special needs population in the Central Texas (Killeen, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, and Nolanville) community. With the goal of helping our clients enhance their quality of life and broaden their horizons, DaZona staff members strive to provide the best opportunities and learning experiences. With students on many different levels, we are committed to finding unique ways to provide them with individualized education strategies and to give them purpose in our society.
